Sharon Cuneta: “Just in case may sakit si Sharee, wag naman, but no joke sir, I’d love to co-host with you on your show, kahit po once lang, twice, thrice”
SHARON CUNETA – The Megastar said that she wanted to be the co-host of Senator Raffy Tulfo in “Raffy Tulfo in Action (RTIA)”.
She said this when she gushed about the senator for close to 10 minutes in “Dear Heart VIP Night” at Okada Manila last October 30, 2023. “Dear Heart VIP Night” was the second in a series of shows of the phenomenal 80s love team of Gabby Concepcion and Sharon Cuneta.
Just like in their first concert at the SM Mall of Asia Arena, all seats at the Grand Ballroom in Okada Manila were snapped up, even if the five-course dinner cost as much as PHP 25,000. Fans of Sharon and Gabby carried their lightsticks and also screamed in excitement every time their idols got close to each other in the concert.
In a report on Manila Bulletin, the Megastar started her speech by saying that she’s very honored to have Tulfo in the audience and she had already looked up to him even before he became a senator. She also said that she could feel his sincerity, honesty, and integrity, adding that she has been such a huge fan of the senator since “Wanted Sa Radyo” up to RTIA.
Senator Raffy Tulfo stood up with his two palms close together as a thank-you sign when the Megastar called his name at the show’s venue at Okada Grand Ballroom. The senator came to see the show with his wife, Cong. Jocelyn Tulfo, and key staff of RTIA.
“Sir, I love you, I watch you every day. Team Mega knows that. Pwera biro po, gusto ko po maging co-host niyo, sorry Sharee,” she said to the senator. “Just in case may sakit si Sharee (Roman, the present co-host of RTIA), wag naman, but no joke sir, I’d love to co-host with you on your show, kahit po once lang, twice, thrice.”
Senator Raffy Tulfo gave a thumbs-up sign at that point. Sharon then told him that she knows the good ones and the real bad ones, adding that she wants to be like him when she grows up even if she never run for politics.
She ended her speech with a wish to get to know the Tulfo family better.
