Netizen Earns Criticisms Over Distasteful Remarks to Wife’s Cooking
A male netizen has posted his wife’s cooking for four months online, stating, “May sobrang alat, may mukang masarap pero hindi.”
Cooking is not easy, especially when you’re not just cooking for yourself. It takes time and effort, especially for families or people working in the food industry. Making fun of someone you love in public, even as a joke, is just not nice.
It’s hurtful and can make people feel really bad. In good relationships, talking to each other and being kind and supportive are important. Humiliating someone in public has no place in a loving relationship.
Expressing love in today’s world sometimes gets confusing, and a recent incident in Ilocos Norte displays a strange trend where saying something nice might actually be mean.
In a Facebook group called “What’s your ulam pare?,” a person shared photos of dishes that his wife of four months had cooked for them. The post quickly circulated online and garnered various reactions from the internet users.
In the photos, the latter posted some of the dishes his wife cooked in four months as a married couple. He exclaimed that some have weird flavors, some are too salty, and some look good but aren’t. The important thing is they are still edible.
However, his post didn’t sit well with many members of the group. Most people criticized the uploader, saying they shouldn’t publicly shame their wife.
