Gerald Anderson on Kim Chiu: “Paganon-ganon lang siya sa ‘Showtime’ but grabe ‘yun, fighter ‘yun, palaban ‘yun.”
GERALD ANDERSON – The Kapamilya actor gave his reaction about the performance of actress Kim Chiu in the hit digital series “Linlang”.
On Friday, the actor reaffirmed his position as a solid Kapamilya as he renewed his contract with ABS-CBN.
The contract signing event was attended by Kapamilya executives led by ABS-CBN Chairman Mark Lopez, President and CEO Carlo Katigbak, COO for Broadcast Cory Vidanes, and Star Magic boss Lauren Dyogi.
During his contract signing, the actor said that “It’s Showtime” host is an epitome of “hard work”. He even described her as inspiring and a “fighter”.
“Paganon-ganon lang siya sa ‘Showtime’ but grabe ‘yun, fighter ‘yun, palaban ‘yun,” Gerald said, referring to Kim Chiu. “She works really hard. ‘Yung success na meron siya ngayon with this show, she deserves it.”
But when he was about the possibility of sharing the screen once again with his the actress, the actor declined to give a definite answer and said “kailangan natin sila makausap”.
Gerald rose to fame in 2006 when he joined the “Pinoy Big Brother” with Kim Chiu. Their romance during the Kapamilya reality show blossomed into a real-life relationship and resulted in several projects together.
Kim and Gerald broke up in 2010, but they were paired again in the show “Ikaw Lang ang Iibigin” in 2017.
Also during the contract signing, Gerald said that his new exclusive deal with the Kapamilya network feels extra special, given the company’s struggles with the pandemic and the non-renewal of its franchise.
Gerald then assured that he will try to pay back the trust through his work as an actor. He even teased that he will be starring in a digital series and he’s also set to co-star with actor Sam Milby on the big screen.
