CLAUDINE BARRETTO – The Optimum Star recently revealed that her “last love” is the “greatest lie” that she has experienced.
The actress is set to star in the upcoming Kapuso primetime series titled “Lovers/Liars”. Other cast members include Shaira Diaz, Rob Gomez, Michelle Vito, Polo Ravales, Sarah Edwards, Christian Vasquez, Lianne Valentin, and many more.
In the upcoming series, Claudine will play the role of a successful corporate woman who unexpectedly falls in love with a younger man.
Claudine was asked during a media conference about the upcoming series on Wednesday about the “greatest lie” she has ever experienced. In response, she said that the “greatest lie” she has experienced is her “last love” – the one with betrayal, love, and lies.
“Siguro ‘yung last love ko, ‘yun na yon,” Claudine said. “Siguro ‘yun yon, ‘yung may betrayal, may love, may lies.”
The actress also said that she thinks the common reason why relationships don’t work is “because of betrayal” and “it’s always because of the lies”.
Claudine’s last relationship was with her ex-husband Raymart Santiago. The two got married twice – in 2003 and in 2006 – and have two children together named Sabrina and Santino before officially separating in 2013.
Also in the media conference, the actress shared that she doesn’t have communication with her ex-husband and that they only see each other during hearings.
Claudine also said that Raymart’s new one is “hindi magandang influence sa kanya compared sa isa dati”. However, the actress refused to drop any names when she was asked who she was referring to.
The Optimum Star was also asked what makes “Lovers/Liars” the perfect comeback project for her. According to the actress, the story suits her age and that it’s something she has never done before.
It was last week when she started filming for the upcoming series and said that she’s very happy working on it.
