Latest update on Miss Grand Philippines 2023 candidate Catherine Camilon
CATHERINE CAMILON – The Miss Grand Philippines 2023 candidate was last seen inside a mall before she was reported missing.
Camilon has been missing since Thursday, October 12, as reported by her family. On Friday, October 13, her sister Chin-chin Camilon posted a public plea on Facebook to one of Catherine’s colleagues who was known to have been with her the previous evening, requesting any information about the beauty queen’s whereabouts. The unnamed colleague has not responded to the post.
In her post, Chin-chin mentioned that Catherine’s last phone call was on the previous night at 8 pm, and her phone has been off since that morning. Catherine’s absence online is unusual, as she typically keeps in regular contact with her family. This marks the first time she has not been in touch. Chin-chin also shared a post on October 13 with information about Catherine’s car, a Nissan Juke with the license plate number NEI 2990.
On Monday, October 16, Chin-chin posted her mother Rose Camilon’s phone number on the internet for anyone with information about Catherine. Before that, Rose expressed her concerns on social media in Filipino, stating, “Anak nsn ka?uwi na..magbuhay kn ng cp para makausap kn nmin..mahal n mahal ka nmin..(emojis)..Dyos ko tulungan mopo kame makita na oh mkausap ang aming bunso(emojis)wag nio po ciang pbbyaan..ilayo nio po cia sa kapahamakan..Panginoon wla po akong ibng hinihiling para sa knila kundi ang kaausan nila..ingatan nio po cia..”
Meanwhile, Catherine, who is 26 years old, was captured on CCTV in a mall in Lemery, Batangas a few hours before she became completely unreachable by her family and was reported missing. Catherine represented Tuy, Batangas, in the Miss Grand Philippines 2023 pageant in July, where Cagayan de Oro’s Nikki de Moura was crowned the winner. She is a public school teacher.
