Lexi Gonzales: “Our lives have become more comfortable”
LEXI GONZALES – The Kapuso actress shared that her family’s life has become more comfortable since she decided to pursue showbiz.
Among the main reasons why she decided to pursue showbiz was to help provide for her single mother and her younger brother, who has autism. Four years after finishing runner-up in the 7th season of “StarStruck”, the actress couldn’t be happier to see her dreams starting to come true.
According to the actress, she was able to give them a home and she recently bought a car. She also said that her mother no longer needs to commute like they used to and she’s glad she can give her brother the things he wants and the things she couldn’t afford before.
Lexi said this when she was interviewed by Inquirer at a media conference for the 2nd anniversary of the weekly anthology series “Regal Studio Presents”. The series airs every Sunday afternoons on GMA 7.
The Kapuso actress also shared that she’s starting to achieve her goals, adding that she want to go into business as showbiz is not forever and she won’t have projects all the time. She went on to express her gratitude to GMA and Regal for taking her in, saying that she wouldn’t be able to work for her dreams if it weren’t for them.
“I feel content with every blessing I receive. There’s always a sense of fulfillment. But after that, you set newer, bigger goals,” the actress said.
Meanwhile, the NCAA Season 99 courtside reporter revealed in an episode of “Surprise Guest with Pia Arcangel” that actor Gil Cuerva is her first boyfriend. She also admitted that it’s her first time to have a boyfriend.
Although Gil confirmed his relationship with Lexi in an interview on “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” aired last February, Lexi shared in an interview with Pia Arcangel that they have been together for more than a year.
