Here’s how to use Collectible Expressions on Reddit
HOW TO USE COLLECTIBLE EXPRESSIONS ON REDDIT? – This article will teach you the process on how to use this feature on the platform.
Reddit’s Collectible Expressions are animated version of Collectible Avatars. It is also a new way for users of the platform to express themselves in the comments section of any post in communities where moderators enable the said feature.
At the moment, you can only comment with an expression on Android and iOS device and you need to make sure that you have a collectible avatar in your vault. The ability to comment with an expression on desktop is coming soon.
But how to use this feature?
Using your Android or iOS device, you need to open the Reddit app, open any post on the platform, tap on the “Add a Comment” box at the bottom of the post, and select the snoo icon.
If you can’t see the snoo icon at the bottom of the said post, it means the moderators of the subreddit where you opened the post didn’t enable the feature for that community.
Once you saw the snoo icon and tapped it, you need to scroll to explore and then select your desired expression. You also need to complete the rest of your comment by adding a text if you would like and then tap “Reply”.
If you’re a moderator of your subreddit, here’s how you can enable or disable this feature for your community:
- If you’re using a computer, you need to go to your mod tools and then click “Post and Comments” under Settings. After that, you need to scroll down to “Media in comments” and then find the “Collectible Expressions” toggle to enable or disable the feature.
- If you’re using an Android or iOS device, you need to go to your mod tools and then tap “Media in comments” under “General”. The next step is to find the “Collectible Expressions” toggle to enable or disable the feature.
