BENEFITS FOR SK CHAIRMAN IN THE PHILIPPINES – Detailed below are the benefits that the Sangguniang Kabataan chairperson is entitled to.
In the Philippines, a youth council called the Sangguniang Kabataan is part of the government’s barangay level. It is more popularly called SK in the country and it is composed of one (1) SK chairperson who leads the youth government and seven (7) SK members.
Individuals who are aged between 18 years old to 30 years old are eligible to vote for the SK election provided that you have registered. Many people are surely curious about the benefits that the SK officials, specifically the SK chairman, have during his/her term.

With regards to the monetary benefit aside from the aforementioned benefits for SK chairman in the Philippines, SK chairpersons don’t have a salary but receive an honoraria just like the barangay officials. The rate may vary but the Department of Budget and Management, under the Local Budget Circular No. 149, has set a ceiling on the honoraria allowed based on the barangay location:
