A Pinay OFW has gone viral online for resisting the temptation initiated by her foreign employer, “masyadong maliit ang pain”.
Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) are known for their unwavering determination and resilience as they leave their homeland in search of better opportunities abroad. They are often regarded as modern-day heroes due to the sacrifices they make.
Recently, a Facebook user named Jessie Barrientos from Tarlac shared her experience of facing and resisting the temptation initiated by her foreign employer. The post quickly circulated online, sparking discussions among netizens.
Barrientos, an OFW working in Saudi Arabia, recently took to social media to share her daily struggles and experiences. The Pinay migrant worker humorously posted the photo a paper bill left by her employer as a ‘bait’.
Rather than succumbing to the temptation of taking the paper bill, Jessie picked it up and attached a note that read, “Madam, pls don’t put ur money everywhere coz its only small amount put million and attach my passport and ill go back to Phils. You never trusted me.”
The hardworking woman mentioned that her employer often teases her about cash, but he takes it in stride, knowing that these challenges are part of her journey.
The lady’s profound sense of responsibility and love for her family back in the Philippines. Despite the difficulties she encounters abroad, he remains focused on providing for her loved ones.
Currently, Jessie has put her plans to build a house on hold to prioritize the medication for her ailing mother. Other OFWs like Jessie shared their own experiences.
