After earning backlash due to her 1K meal plan, Neri Miranda is giving away vegetable seeds
NERI MIRANDA – The “Wais na Misis” has chosen to spread kindness by giving away free vegetable seeds after earning backlash due to her P1,000 weekly meal plan.
In a post that has since been deleted, the wife of Chito Miranda shared a “sample” of her meal plan, complete with a grocery list and a variety of dishes to last a week. While the celebrity mom has removed the post, screenshots of it resurfaced on social media and garnered criticism from netizens who deemed it “unrealistic” and “out of touch with reality.” In response, Neri clarified that she obtains eggs and vegetables for free from her own garden, where she enjoys gardening.
She expressed, “Sorry, ‘di ko nalagay sa post na ‘to na kunin ang mga sayote and other gulay sa bakuran… Sa amin po, madalas free po ang mga eggs. Tapos ‘yung vegetables and fruits namin [kasi] mahilig po akong magtanim.” Neri emphasized that there are numerous ways to save money and encouraged others to become resourceful in life.
In a separate post, Neri announced her intention to give away vegetable seeds to some of her followers, encouraging them to create their edible gardens at home, even if they lack a yard. She emphasized the importance of sharing positivity and blessings, mentioning that people with limited space can use pots and water containers for planting.
Neri Naig’s actions reflect her belief in resourcefulness and finding innovative solutions to life’s challenges. In other news, she recently celebrated her 40th birthday with a ’90s-themed party organized by her husband, Chito Miranda, the frontman of Parokya ni Edgar.
