Michelle Dee Says PAF Training Will Fulfill Her Purpose In Life

Michelle Dee: “Life’s too short to keep giving myself excuses not to do things I know will fulfill my purpose in life”

MICHELLE DEE – The Miss Universe Philippines 2023 titleholder said that the Philippine Air Force (PAF) training will fulfill her purpose in life.

The beauty queen has enlisted to join the reserve corps of the Philippine Air Force (PAF). She will undergo training in the heat of her preparation for this year’s Miss Universe competition about 2 months from now.

In an online interview with Inquirer, she said that she has always planned to join the reserve corps of the Philippine Air Force as a lot of her family members and friends are already reservists.

Michelle shard that life is too short to keep giving herself excuses not to do things she knows will fulfill her purpose in life, adding that service to other people and her country has always been one of them.

I will always think, if I can manage it, then why not? Because life’s too short to keep giving myself excuses not to do things I know will fulfill my purpose in life, and service to others and my country has always been one of them,” she said.

According to her, PAF’s schedule is not demanding and many civilian trainees are able to commit even if they have full-time jobs. She added that it’s possible to complete the PAF training and it’s all about time management and proprieties.

The model-actress also said that she can always opt to join the next batch of civilian trainings in the event when she would have unfulfilled days.

Meanwhile, MUPH Communications Director Voltaire Tayag said in an online interview with Inquirer that the organization “applauds” Michelle’s move to enlist for military training. Tayag added that the organization knows this will bring a “different sense of inner confidence and accomplishment” for Michelle.

We are very supportive of trainings and activities beyond the conventional runway, personality and Q&A trainings, that help them evolve and grow wholistically as individuals,” Tayag said.

Inquirer reported that beauty queen Katrina Llegado had already fulfilled her PAF reservist training. Before them, Miss Universe Philippines 2021 titleholder Beatrice Luigi Gomez was able to complete her training as a Philippine Navy reservist.

It can be recalled that the beauty queen said in an interview on Kapuso morning show “Unang Hirit” last May that the Miss Universe competition is the “most bardagulan pageant” in her opinion.
