In an interview with talk show host Boy Abunda, the actor said that he used to look at actors as “baduy” and he just wanted to be a model. He also said that he was going to the United States to study nursing at that time.

Before nababaduyan ako sa mga artista. Mas gusto ko lang noon maging model,” Joross told the King of Talk. “Noong time kasi na ‘yun pupunta ako sa US para mag nursing, so ayun laro lang sa ‘kin [mag-artista] before pero nag-grow siya sa ‘kin.

The actor further explained further that he didn’t want to be an actor because he didn’t know much about the show business industry in the Philippines at that time. However, the actor said he learned about it when he entered the showbiz industry.

It can be recalled that Joross Gamboa joined “Star Circle Quest” back in 2004. His batchmates were Neri Naig, Hero Angeles, Melissa Ricks, Michelle Madrigal, and Sandara Park at the time.

Aside from “The Missing Husband”, Joross is also currently preparing for a film with Kapuso couple Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes.

Joross Gamboa and Kathy Kimberly Saga got married in a Christian wedding ceremony last November 29, 2014 at the Fernbrook Gardens in Alabang. The couple have two children named Jace Kyler and John Kody.
