Two guys were captured on CCTV stealing food items from a pasalubong center in Bacolod
THEFT – Two men were captured on closed-circuit television (CCTV) stealing food items from a pasalubong center in Bacolod.
A “pasalubong center” is a type of store or shop commonly found in many tourist destinations in the Philippines and other countries with a similar culture of gift-giving and souvenirs. The term “pasalubong” in Filipino culture refers to the tradition of bringing back gifts or souvenirs for friends, family members, or colleagues when someone returns from a trip or vacation.
A pasalubong center is a place where travelers can purchase a wide variety of local products, crafts, food items, and souvenirs typically associated with the region they are visiting. These items are intended to be brought back as gifts or tokens of appreciation for loved ones back home. Pasalubong centers often stock regional delicacies, handicrafts, clothing, keychains, postcards, and other items that showcase the local culture and heritage.
These centers are convenient for tourists who want to buy authentic, locally made products and gifts to share with their family and friends as a way to remember their travels and share a piece of the destination’s culture with others. Pasalubong centers are an integral part of the tourism industry in many regions, supporting local artisans and businesses while offering tourists a chance to take home meaningful mementos from their trip.
Meanwhile, two men were caught on CCTV stealing food items from a pasalubong center in Bacolod. In the first part of the video, the two appeared to be browsing for items to purchase. Then, the man in the black shirt decided to take something and concealed it inside his pants.
The other man, wearing a white shirt, did the same. He even made some gestures as if performing a TikTok dance while leaving the store. The incident was captured on CCTV. It appears that one of the suspects has been identified based on the comments section.
