Ysabel Ortega: “Kung pipili ako dito sa ‘Showtime,’ syempre pipiliin ko na ‘yung pinakamatagal ko nang kilala.”
YSABEL ORTEGA – The “Voltes V: Legacy” star recently shared that she wants to work with “It’s Showtime” host Ryan Bang on a project.
It can be recalled that Kapamilya noontime show “It’s Showtime” made an epic debut on GMA Network’s GTV this July. The actress is the latest Kapuso star to grace the “It’s Showtime” stage.
Ysabel was asked which Kapamilya star she would like to be paired with, should she have a crossover-type project one day.
The Kapuso star immediately said that she wants to work with her longtime friend, “It’s Showtime” host Ryan Bang.
“Well kung pipili ako dito sa ‘Showtime,’ syempre pipiliin ko na ‘yung pinakamatagal ko nang kilala. So why not diba, si Kuya Ryan,” Ysabel said.
Ryan, for his part, shared that he has known Ysabel since 2009 because they went to the same high school. At that time, Ysabel knew Ryan as a student council president, who was just starting his career in the showbiz industry.
According to him, he and Ysabel got super close because of Ysabel and her family’s kindness.
“Naging medyo kapitbahay na kami, tas during pandemic, ‘yung mommy niya, Tita Michelle Ortega, lagi niya tinatanong sa kin, ‘Ryan, kumain ka na ba? Sarado mga restaurant.’ Sobrang bait, [Tito Greg], Tita Michelle, ang babait ‘yung pamilya,” he said. “Para kaming kapatid.”
Ysabel expressed her gratitude to Ryan and said that she really appreciated him because he’s always been so supportive of her and she’s also very thankful to him. Ryan then told Ysabel that he will always support her.
Meanwhile, Vice Ganda said that she was once able to go to the cinema with Michelle, Ysabel, and Ryan.
