Class suspension for Tuesday, August 29, 2023, due to Typhoon Goring
#WalangPasok – Several local government units (LGUs) have announced the suspension of the first day of classes for the school year 2023-2024 due to Typhoon Goring.
Apart from the postponement of classes, work in government offices in some areas of the country is also suspended. According to the PAGASA bulletin issued at 5 AM today, August 29, 2023, #GoringPH maintains its strength as it continues to approach the Luzon strait.
It is moving North Northwestward at 10 km/h and has maximum sustained winds of 155 km/h near the center, with gustiness of up to 190 km/h. The center of the eye of Typhoon Goring was located 220 km East of Aparri, Cagayan (18.5 °N, 123.7 °E). On the other hand, Tropical Cyclone Wind Signals numbers 1, 2, and 3 have been raised in different areas of Luzon.

Batangas province
- Alitagtag – all levels, both public and private
- Calaca – all levels, both public and private
- Calatagan – all levels, both public and private
- Lemery – all levels, both public and private
- Lian – all levels, both public and private
- Nasugbu – all levels, both public and private
- Taal – all levels, both public and private
- Tuy – all levels, both public and private
Negros Occidental
- Bacolod City – government work and classes at all levels
- Bago City – government work and classes at all levels
- Himamaylan – all levels, both public and private
- Pontevedra – all levels, both public and private
- Sagay – all levels
- Talisay City – all levels, both public and private
Iloilo province
- Balasan – all levels
- Concepcion – all levels, both public and private
- Lambunao – all levels
Aklan
- Kalibo – Pre-school to High School, both public and private
- Nabas – all levels
Isabela
- Benito Soliven – all levels, both public and private (except non-teaching staff of municipality)
- Cauayan City – all levels, both public and private
Cagayan province – all levels, both public and private
Culion, Palawan – all levels, both public and private
Guimaras province – all levels, both public and private
Iloilo City – Pre-school to Senior High School
Libertad, Antique – Pre-school to High School
Occidental Mindoro – all levels, both public and private
