Teacher removes her classroom decorations
OPERATION BAKLAS – The act of a teacher removing decorations inside her classroom has garnered mixed reactions from netizens.
Teacher Carla, who is both a kindergarten teacher and a content creator, recently took to the social networking site Facebook to upload a video showing her removing designs and decorations from her classroom.
This was in line with the Department of Education’s (DepEd) directive that classrooms should maintain cleanliness and avoid distracting elements to enhance students’ focus on learning. The teacher chose Claire Dela Fuente’s song “Sayang” as background music for the video.
“Good morning! Tara na magbaklas,” the teacher noted as the caption on her Facebook post. In the video, the teacher can be seen carefully taking down alphabet designs that were affixed to the classroom walls. These decorations were arranged by her personally as part of her preparations for the upcoming school reopening, referred to as #BalikEskwela.
In the comments section, Teacher Carla mentioned that the removed decorations weren’t wasted since some students had actually requested to keep them.
As anticipated, the video elicited a variety of reactions and comments from netizens. At present, the video has amassed 2.6k reactions and 224k views.
