Potato Corner, the global food franchise known for its flavored French fries, has been garnering significant attention online due to the job requirements at one of its branches (Ventura Mall).

Based on the qualifications, applicants are required to have a ‘good set of teeth,’ and their weight should be proportionate to their height. This has sparked reactions from netizens, leading them to express their frustration with the management of the food franchise.

In response, Potato Corner has issued an official statement. According to them, “discriminatory hiring” is not something they support or condone. Thus, they are focused on “providing equal opportunities for all, and giving fair recognition and reward to effort, attitude, potential, and creating positive outcomes.”

Before releasing their official statement, Rendon Labador shared his thoughts on the issue by defending Potato Corner. He mentioned that most of the individuals complaining about the qualifications have a high opinion of themselves but do not meet the standards. He further emphasized that standards are increasing nowadays, especially in the food industry where requirements are quite meticulous.

This time, he reiterated to the public that if they don’t meet the qualifications, they shouldn’t apply. Rendon Labador stressed that the food industry is a delicate business, which is why the standards are set high.
