Traffic is one of the common sights in Metro Manila. To ease the traffic, the authorities have taken certain means and measures aside from the efforts of the Filipino people to wake up early and allot time for the possibility of transport delays.

In Metro Manila, aside from the coding in Manila and its neighboring cities, the people can take the Light Rail Transit rides for a faster way of getting to their destinations. There are several LRT stations in the different cities in the National Capital Region (NCR) where the people can take a train ride. There also ongoing constructions that aims to increase the number of terminals and the number of people that avails the transport services.

The Light Rail Transit 1 is also known as the Green Line. There are at least 21 terminals in the Green Line and the southernmost station where the commuters can take the earliest ride at 4:30 a.m. is located in Baclaran. Commuters should be aware that the last trip in the said station is at 10 PM.

Upon the completion of the LRT-1 Cavite Extension Project which is eyed in 2024, an 11 kilometer stretch will be added to the LRT-1 and it will include at least eight more stations. Here are the eyed additional terminals:

  • Manila International Airport (MIA) Station
  • Asiaworld Station
  • Ninoy Aquino Station
  • Dr. Santos Station
  • Las Piñas Station

The Light Rail Transit 2 traverses Pasig, Marikina, Quezon City, San Juan and Manila. Also called the Blue Line, it is operated by the Light Rail Transit Authority or the LRTA. Here are the terminals in the Blue Line:
