Vic Sotto Unintentionally Mentions ‘Eat Bulaga’ During Debut of Their Show on TV5

During the debut of their show on TV5, Vic Sotto unintentionally mentioned “Eat Bulaga”

VIC SOTTO – The host of E.A.T. made a humorous mistake during the first episode of their noontime show on TV5.

In one of the segments, they interviewed fans of Eat Bulaga who had gained social media attention for expressing their complaints following the departure of TVJ, the hosts of the long-running noontime show. One of the fans named ‘Juanito’ became viral for composing his version of the Eat Bulaga theme song to express his dissatisfaction. He had the opportunity to be interviewed by Vic Sotto himself.

Juanito also sang his composition upon Vic and the other E.A.T hosts’ request. As a gesture of appreciation, Vic presented Juanito with several prizes. However, while giving away the gifts, Vic unintentionally shouted the title of their former show, ‘Eat Bulaga,’ instead of ‘E.A.T.’

A brief moment of silence followed, during which Vic appeared to anticipate the reaction of his co-hosts. Paolo Ballesteros, Ryan Agoncillo, and Maine Mendoza then corrected Vic and reminded him that the current title of their show was ‘E.A.T.’

Jose Manalo and Wally Bayola, who were holding the prizes, couldn’t help but burst into laughter due to Vic’s mistake. Jose jokingly asked Vic about the correct title of the show.

Some netizens regarded Vic’s mistake as normal, considering his association with the words ‘Eat Bulaga’ for the past 44 years. However, certain observers suggested that Vic should exercise more caution in the future, particularly since they have not acquired the trademark for Eat Bulaga, and such errors might give TAPE Inc., the production company behind the show, a reason to file charges against the host.
