Winwyn Marquez: “Caught in between the joy of work and the love for my child”
WINWYN MARQUEZ – The actress recently opened up about the struggles with balancing motherhood and work.
The actress, who recently appeared in Kapuso TV series “Mga Lihim ni Urduja”, is one of the stars in the upcoming film “The Cheating Game”. She celebrated her daughter’s 1st birthday last April.
Winwyn posted a video on her social media account where she can be seen looking happy at work and taking care of baby Luna – her daughter with her non-showbiz partner.
In the caption of her social media post, the Reina Hispanoamericana 2017 titleholder said that it’s a “never-ending dilemma” when she’s caught in between the joy of work and the love of her daughter.
The actress also said in her post that there’s a “constant struggle” between energy and time required for both, leaving her “feeling torn between their responsibilities in both spheres”.

Winwyn is hoping to have a balance between parenting and work, which is “easier said than done”.
“Maybe the key is to understand that pursuing both is possible with a little effort and a lot of flexibility,” Winwyn said. “Striking a balance that allows individuals to thrive in both spheres while eliminating the guilt and judgment should be the ultimate goal.“
To recall, the Reina Hispanoamericana 2017 titleholder said in an interview with Boy Abunda that her daughter is her “top priority”. She also said that she’s happiest when she’s with her daughter.
Aside from this, she also admitted to thinking she experienced postpartum depression during the first 4 months after giving birth to her daughter.
