AREAS ELIGIBLE FOR GSIS CALAMITY LOAN – Listed below are the regions that are covered by the GSIS Calamity Loan offer this June 2023.
The GSIS, recognized as one of the largest social insurance institutions in the country, caters to members who are presently working in government and public agencies, as well as those who have previously served in government and state-run institutions. It is a state-run institution.
GSIS provides various benefits to its eligible members, including the calamity loan offer. This offer is designed to assist GSIS members residing or working in areas declared under a State of Calamity, providing them with financial aid for their recovery.
Qualified GSIS members can borrow up to P20,000, with the option to repay it over a period of up to three (3) years or 36 monthly installments.
To keep GSIS members informed about the areas where they can avail of the Calamity Loan offer, the GSIS regularly publishes updated lists of eligible regions. It also notes the reasons behind the offer and the period that the qualified members may avail the offer.
