John Lapus: “Almost 2 weeks na ko walang internet”
JOHN LAPUS – The famous celebrity took to the microblogging site, Twitter wherein he expressed his frustration about his internet connection not being fixed for two weeks.
Jonathan Anthony Solis Lapus, popularly known as John Lapus or Sweet, is an actor, host, comedian, and film and television director. He has made a name for himself in the entertainment industry. He gained recognition for his roles in various films, including “Shake, Rattle & Roll.”
Lapus began his career as a head writer at Showbiz Linggo on ABS-CBN in the early to late ’90s. He later hosted several Philippine Showbiz talk shows, such as “Entertainment Konek,” “The Buzz,” “S-Files,” and “Showbiz Central” for GMA-7. Lapus achieved further success in films like “Temptation Island,” “Moron 5 and the Crying Lady,” and its sequel “Moron 5.2: The Transformation,” where he played the character Becky Pamintuan. In 2021, he made a comeback in the web streaming film “Barumbadings.”
Lapus is openly gay, and despite returning to his original home network ABS-CBN, he remained with GMA in 2012 to join the cast of “Makapiling Kang Muli.” He has appeared in various television series such as “Ikaw Ay Pag-Ibig,” “Kahit Konting Pagtingin,” and “Mirabella”.
On Twitter, John Lapus expressed his frustration about his internet connection not being fixed for two weeks. He asked if his bill would be reduced because of the prolonged period without internet access. He also wanted to know if there was an agency where he could report such issues or if he should go directly to the “Face 2 Face” program to voice his concerns.
A fellow internet user advised him to call PLDT’s billing department and provide the date when he had no internet. They mentioned that the reduction in the bill might be small, but at least there would be some deduction. Recently, PLDT responded to his concerns.
