IT’S SHOWTIME – The hosts of the noontime show turned emotional as they bid goodbye to TV5.
It’s Showtime is a noontime variety show that premiered on October 24, 2009. Originally broadcast on ABS-CBN, the show is currently aired through various channels including Kapamilya Channel, Jeepney TV, A2Z, TV5, and GMA Network’s GTV starting July 1, 2023. It also reaches international audiences via TFC, YouTube, Facebook, Showtime Online Ü, Kapamilya Online Live, and iWantTFC.
The main hosts of It’s Showtime include Vhong Navarro, Anne Curtis, Jhong Hilario, Jugs Jugueta, Teddy Corpuz, and Vice Ganda. They are joined by Karylle, Ryan Bang, Amy Perez, Ion Perez, Jackie Gonzaga, Kim Chiu, Ogie Alcasid, MC Muah, Lassy Marquez, and Cianne Dominguez.
It’s Showtime started simulcasting on TV5 last year. But after months of airing on Kapatid Network, the noontime show is signing off on TV5. During the last day of the show’s airing on the network on Friday, June 30, 2023, the hosts couldn’t help but turn emotional.
Meanwhile, starting July 1, 2023, It’s Showtime will be simulcast on GMA Network’s GTV. Good Television or GTV is a free-to-air television network owned and operated by the Citynet Network Marketing and Productions Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of GMA Network Inc. It was launched on February 22, 2021, replacing GMA News TV on its flagship station, UHF Channel 27 Metro Manila and its provincial relay stations.
