Herlene Budol says she’s a dog lover over “dogshow” Q&A at Miss Grand PH 2023
HERLENE BUDOL – The comedian-beauty pageant contestant addressed criticism about her stint on Miss Grand Philippines 2023 during her interview with Boy Abunda.
Budol, who’s also known as Hipon Girl, recently made a buzz online following her responses at the Miss Grand Philippines 2023 sashing ceremony and press presentation held on June 20 at Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria. The event introduced the official candidates via a live online stream.
When asked what she had besides a large social media following to win the crown, Herlene initially responded with a playful comment about her “big heart”. However, she later asked for the question to be repeated, claiming she did not understand it because it was in English. When translated into Filipino, Herlene mentioned that her experience was another asset.
Apparently, Herlene faced criticism on social media for her evasive answer during the pre-event interview. She has already addressed the issue. In an interview with Boy Abunda via Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, she was asked about the press conference of Miss Grand International.
“Miss Grand International press conference. Tinanong ka, sinagot mo to the best you can. You know? It was really cruel. One guy even said that you made that press conference into a dogshow. You know, yung bashing? Ano yung karanasan na ’yon? Ano ang naramdaman mo?” Boy Abunda asked.
