Onyok Velasco receives a brand-new car from his daughter
ONYOK VELASCO – The Olympic silver medalist was overwhelmed with joy when he was surprised by his daughter, Ry Velasco with a brand new car.
Velasco is a retired boxer, comedian, and actor hailing from Bago, Negros Occidental, Philippines. He achieved remarkable success in his boxing career when he won a gold medal at the 1994 Asian Games and a silver medal at the 1996 Summer Olympics.
After retiring from boxing due to a lack of government support, Velasco ventured into acting and found success in the entertainment industry. He portrayed himself in the 1997 film “The Onyok Velasco Story,” which depicted his life and boxing journey.
This marked his entry into the world of acting. Subsequently, Velasco embarked on a successful comedy career, appearing in various sitcoms and comedy films, including the popular show “Show Me Da Manny” on GMA 7. He also played the role of a boxing trainer in the TV5 comedy-drama “Beki Boxer.”
Aside from acting, he has also made numerous television appearances in various shows across different networks, showcasing his versatility as a performer. His notable television credits include “ASAP Natin To,” “Maalaala Mo Kaya,” “Talentadong Pinoy,” “Pinoy Records Presents: Pinoy Extreme Talent,” and many more. Velasco continues to make guest appearances in both drama and comedy shows, demonstrating his enduring presence in the Philippine entertainment industry.
Meanwhile, Onyok Velasco couldn’t help but turn emotional after being surprised by his daughter with a brand new car. On TikTok, his daughter posted her excitement upon buying the car. She later had it delivered to their doorstep.
