Michelle Daniela Marquez Dee is an actress, model, TV presenter, talk show host, and beauty pageant titleholder. She was born on April 24, 1995, in Makati. Her father is Frederick “Derek” Dee, a businessman, film producer, and former character actor, while her mother is Melanie Marquez, an actress and beauty queen who won Miss International 1979.
Dee gained recognition in the pageant world when she won Miss World Philippines 2019. She went on to represent the Philippines at the Miss World 2019 pageant held in London, England, where she finished in the Top 12. Her success in beauty pageants led her to participate in Miss Universe Philippines 2022, where she was crowned Miss Universe Philippines Tourism 2022.
Recently, she achieved another milestone in her pageant career by winning the Miss Universe Philippines 2023 title. As the reigning Miss Universe Philippines, she will represent the Philippines at the Miss Universe 2023 competition in El Salvador.
Apart from her pageant achievements, Dee is also actively involved in various charitable causes. She is an advocate for autism awareness and mental health education, inspired by her siblings who were diagnosed with autism. She is also a strong supporter of LGBTQIA+ rights.
