In Scotland, four sisters are due to give birth this year

SCOTLAND – A delightful surprise has occurred among a family of six sisters, as four of them recently revealed that they are pregnant and are expecting to give birth within this year.

The news was reported by FOX News. Among the sisters, Kayleigh Stewart, aged 29 and experiencing motherhood for the first time, and Jay Goodwillie, aged 35 and already a mother of one, are eagerly anticipating the arrival of their baby boys in May.

The other two sisters, Kerry-Anne Thomson, aged 41, the eldest among them, and Amy Goodwillie, aged 24, the youngest, are currently in the early stages of their pregnancies. Both of them are excitedly looking forward to welcoming their second child in August and October respectively.

Kayleigh shared the story of how they discovered their pregnancies, stating, “Jay and I found out first. Jay had been trying, but it was a surprise for me.” Recounting the moment they shared the news with each other during a FaceTime call, Kayleigh said, “We were on FaceTime and she said, ‘I’ve got something to tell you’. I said, ‘No chance, me too.'” It was an incredibly joyous surprise for both sisters to learn that they were expecting at the same time.

In addition to their due dates, Kayleigh and Jay also celebrated their pregnancies together by organizing announcements and gender reveal parties. Kayleigh explained, “A few weeks later, we decided to tell the family at the same time, wearing [pregnancy announcement] t-shirts. They thought I was wearing a t-shirt for Jay.” Jay added, “Kayleigh and I did a joint gender reveal, and there are no boys in the family, and both of us are having boys.”

This remarkable coincidence means that their family will experience a significant expansion, going from having four grandchildren to having eight in a single year. Jay also expressed how special their pregnancies would be, as all three sisters are having their first child and can support and assist each other throughout this journey. “It’s good that our babies will grow up around the same time as well, and we’ll all be going through similar stages and experiences together,” she shared.

Jay also mentioned their mother’s excitement, stating, “Our mom is so excited. She is going to be everyone’s birthing partner. There will be a lot of hand-me-downs.” The upcoming months promise to be a truly remarkable and memorable time for these sisters as they navigate the joys and challenges of motherhood collectively, with their children growing up side by side, fostering a strong bond and shared experiences.
