CIVIL SERVICE EXAM FEE – Here is a guide on how much you must prepare in taking the CSE-PPT administered by the Civil Service Commission.

Every year, at least hundreds of Filipinos take the Civil Service Examination-Paper-and-Pencil Test or more popurly called CSE-PPT. It is administered in professional and sub-professional levels and has been a help for many Pinoys who entered the entered the government employment.

The Civil Service exam fee is Php 500.00. In appplying for the CSE-PPT, there are two (2) main steps to do it.

Step 1 – Check if you are qualified to take the exam. The qualifications are essential prerequisites for the Civil Service Exam requirements. To be eligible to take the exam, the applicant must satisfy the following criteria:

  • be a Filipino citizen
  • be at least 18 years old upon the filing of the application for the Civil Service Examination-Pen and Paper Test (CSE-PPT)
  • be of good moral conduct or has not been convicted by any final judgement of an offense or crime
  • not have been dishonorably discharged from military service or dismissed for cause from any civilian position in the government
  • have not taken the same level of the CSE-PPT, either through PPT or CSC Computerized Examination, within the three months from the date of the exam

Step 2 – Prepare the requirements including the Civil Service Exam fee. When applying for the CSE-PPT, there are particular documents that you must gather in advance. The following are the necessary Civil Service Exam requirements that you must bring with you when visiting the Civil Service Commission (CSC) office:

  • a duly-accomplished Civil Service Examination Application Form (CS Form No. 100, revised September 2016)
  • one (1) valid ID accepted for the Civil Service Exam (original and photocopy)
  • four (4) copies of passport-sized I.D. pictures with handwritten name tag legibly showing signature over printed full name
  • duly-accomplished Certificate of Consent/Release/Waiver relating to the COVID-19 disease

In applying for the CSE-PPT, go to an office of Civil Service Commission (CSC) on the set date for application.
