Winwyn Marquez: “The breakup was mutual, so talagang pinagusapan namin na it wasn’t working out”
WINWYN MARQUEZ – The actress-beauty queen recently spoke about her breakup with actor Mark Herras.
The actress confirmed her breakup with Mark in 2019 after 2 years of dating. Mark is presently married to actress Nicole Donesa and have a son named Corky, while Winwyn and her non-showbiz fiancé have a daughter named Luna.
Winwyn appeared on Wednesday’s episode of “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” where she opened up about her breakup with the actor.
The actress was asked in an interview with Boy Abunda if the breakup was amicable and she responded with a yes. According to her, she and Mark had closure and there’s no third party involved.
“The breakup was mutual, so talagang pinagusapan namin na it wasn’t working out. We have different paths na talaga,” she said. “Walang third party or anything, nothing like that. It was maayos po.”

After actor Alden Richards revealed that he nearly dated Winwyn Marquez in the past, the actress shared in the same interview that she’s not sure if there was a “misunderstanding”. She even describing him as “really kind”, “malambing”, and “mabait”.
Winwyn added that there were no flowers, no visits to her house, and no gifts at that time. While it’s true that she and Alden got busy because of work, the actress said that there’s not much to talk about outside the fact that she considers him a “really good friend”.
She was also asked how she felt when she learned Alden said they almost had something.
“Wala naman kasi tapos na,” she told the King of Talk. “I don’t want to go back and dwell on the past. Kahit anong sabihin natin, I’m so proud of him. I’m so proud of his success. We remain good friends.“
