HOLIDAY PHILIPPINES 2023 – Here is a full list of the regular holidays and the special non-working days in the country this year.

Are you one of those people who check the list of holidays in the Philippines in a year so you can plot the dates when you and your loved ones can go for a vacation? In some cases, many people enjoy working on these holidays for the double pay they can earn as extras in their salaries.

In a year, there are a lot of holidays and some of them even pave the way for long weekends that are perfect for vacations with family and friends. Almost every month there is at least one holiday in the Philippines this 2023.

There are regular holidays wherein classes and most work are suspended. In cases wherein duties continue, the employees are usually paid double every regular holiday in the Philippines not only in 2023 but every year. There are also special non-working day wherein some work are suspended while those who continued working may enjoy an additional pay equivalent of 30% of their daily rate.

  • April 10 (Monday nearest April 9) – Araw ng Kagitingan
  • April 6 – Maundy Thursday
  • April 7 – Good Friday
  • May 1 (Monday) – Labor Day
  • June 12 (Monday) – Independence Day
  • Aug. 28 (Last Monday of August) – National Heroes Day
  • Nov. 27 (Monday nearest Nov. 30) – Bonifacio Day
  • Dec. 25 (Monday) – Christmas Day
  • Dec. 30 – Rizal Day

Special Non-Working Days

  • Feb. 25 – EDSA People Power Revolution Anniversary
  • April 8 – Black Saturday
  • Aug. 21 (Monday) – Ninoy Aquino Day
  • Nov. 1 (Wednesday) – All Saints’ Day
  • Dec. 8 – Feast of the Immaculate Conception of Mary
  • Dec. 31- Last day of the year

Additional Special Non-Working Days

  • Nov. 2 (Thursday)
  • Jan. 2 (Monday)
