Gladys Reyes on Barbie Forteza: “Bilib na bilib ako sa batang ‘yan, kasi …”
GLADYS REYES – The “Here Comes The Groom” star recently spoke about the acting skills of Kapuso actress Barbie Forteza.
The actress appeared on Monday’s episode of “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” where she spoke about her expertise in “kontrabida” roles – including dealing with physical actions such as pulling of hair, slapping, and more.
GMA Entertainment reported that Gladys and Barbie previously starred in Kapuso teleserye “Inday Will Always Love You”.
In an interview with Boy Abunda, the actress said that it’s better to make physical scenes as realistic as possible rather than faking them.
Gladys went on to share that she worked with Barbie Forteza before. According to the actress, it helps to have a pep talk with a co-actor about an upcoming scene that involves physical actions.
“Sa totoo lang Tito Boy mas maganda na hindi nandadaya. I’ve worked with Barbie Forteza, bilib na bilib ako sa batang ‘yan kasi ‘yung talagang sinasaktan ko siya, totoo,” she said. “Nasasaktan talaga ‘yung bata kasi totoong sampal. Doon mo kasi maka-capture ‘yung totoong reaksyon e, kung daya, ‘yung totoong pain ba maka-capture?”
The actress also said that she has long dreamed of being in a scene with “Star for All Seasons” Vilma Santos.
In the same interview, the “Apag” star shared the trick to long-standing relationship with her husband Christopher Roxas.
“Ang mga lalaki, hindi sila manghuhula. Kaya sabihin natin [kung ano ang gusto natin],“ Gladys told Boy Abunda in an interview.

The couple have been together for 30 years – 19 years as a married couple and 11 years as boyfriend and girlfriend.
Gladys Reyes is one of the stars in films “Here Comes The Groom” and “Apag”.
