Gladys Reyes on being named Best Actress: “Para ito sa papa ko”
GLADYS REYES – The actress recently expressed her gratitude as she has been named Best Actress at the 1st Summer Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) this year.
To recall, Gladys said in an interview with Boy Abunda that she starred in two Summer MMFF films – “Apag” and “Here Comes The Groom”.
The actress posted a photo on her social media account where she can be seen giving her speech while holding a trophy as she has been named Bess Actress for her role as Nita Balagtas in “Apag”.
“Apag” is a film directed by Brillante Mendoza.
In the caption of her social media post she expressed her gratitude and said that it was a huge honor for her to be part of the 1st Summer Metro Manila Film Festival this year. She went on to thank God and thank the judges who believed in her ability as an actress.
The actress then expressed her gratitude to Direk Brillante for the trust, Jaclyn Jose for the guidance, and Coco Martin for agreeing to do the film.

Gladys also said that she dedicated the Best Actress award to her late father.
“Para ito sa papa ko, Papa Sonyer kung buhay lang sya siguradong tuwang tuwa sya at sa Apo Sessia ko, na sa knya ako natuto magkapampangan,” she said in the caption of her social media post.
The actress went on to thank her mom, her siblings, her friends, her manager Lolit Solis, her husband Christopher Roxas, and her children.
