Holy Week is a significant religious observance in the Philippines, where majority of the population is Roman Catholic. During this time, malls in the country typically adjust their operating hours to accommodate the needs of their customers while respecting the solemnity of the occasion.
In the Philippines, Holy Week usually falls in late March or early April and spans from Palm Sunday to Easter Sunday. This year, Palm Sunday falls on April 2, while Easter Sunday is on April 9.
Most malls in the country are closed on Maundy Thursday and Good Friday, which are considered as regular holidays. Some malls, however, may open on these days but with limited hours. In recent years, some malls have also started closing on Holy Wednesday, in observance of the Holy Week.
On Holy Saturday, most malls are open, but they may operate on reduced hours. It is best to check the mall’s website or social media pages for their specific operating hours during Holy Week.
