Police Speaks on John Matthew Salilig Case Investigation
JOHN MATTHEW SALILIG CASE – The police authorities warned the two (2) victims who during the welcoming rites to come out or they will be tagged as suspects in the case.
After more than a week since he was reported missing, the lifeless body of Adamson University student John Matthew Salilig was found in a vacant lot in Imus, Cavite. His brother was the one who accompanied the police authorities and confirmed his identity.
John Matthew who is from Zamboanga City is a third year chemical engineering student of Adamson University. He is a member of Tau Gamma Phi fraternity back in Zamboanga according to his brother. Two (2) of his brothers are also members of the said frat.
According to one of his brothers, John Michael, Matt informed him that he will be attending the welcoming rites of their frat. He was not worried then since his brother is already a member of the said group in Zamboanga chapter.
However, since then, their family has not heard from John Matthew. He was missing for 10 days until his lifeless body was found in Imus, Cavite.
Based on reports, at least six (6) suspects in the John Matthew Salilig case are now under the custody of the police authorities. They were initially persons of interest but another victim came out and identified them.
Based on a report on GMA News, there are two (2) more victims in line with the John Matthew Salilig case. The police authorties warned them to come out or they will be tagged as suspects in the case.
Currently, the police expects three (3) more persons of interest to surrender to the authorities after they have inquired about the procedure in surrendering. More updates may be posted soon.
