Here’s an update about Gardo Versoza according to his wife.
GARDO VERSOZA – The veteran screen actor is in recovery after undergoing an angioplasty procedure last March 28, 2023.
On Thursday, Gardo’s wife Ivy Vicencio confirmed in an interview with ABS-CBN News that he had a heart attack.
Ivy told ABS-CBN News they didn’t know that her husband had a heart attack at first because of the “unusual” signs. She also said that he suffered pain in his back, nape, and head, got a headache, and vomited twice during that time.
Gardo’s wife then said in an interview that she brought him to the hospital when she saw that his jaw was locked during that time.
“After niya magsuka nagla-lock na ‘yung jaw niya, so ‘yun 8 p.m. (dinala ko na siya sa ospital). After nun nakita sa ECG confirmed na heart attack nga siya. Yung isang ugat ginawa ay angioplasty,” Ivy said. “Yung ginawa nila ay kritikal na kumbaga kung nahuli kami ng oras pwedeng nawala na siya. Kaya mabilis ang pangyayari sa hospital na talagang wala silang sinayang na oras.”
She shared that her husband will undergo another procedure after 2-3 months, adding that he’s still in the intensive care unit (ICU) but is in stable condition.

According to her, her husband is healthy and active but his workout and biking became extreme.
In the same interview, Ivy thanked the supporters of her husband for praying for him. She also expressed her gratitude to the “Unbreak My Heart” family for the support and for the understanding.
“Salamat sa lahat, sa mga nag-offer ng prayer, ‘yan ‘di mababayaran. Galing sa puso namin ni Gardo, maraming-maraming salamat,” Ivy said.
