Debbie Garcia speaks about altercation with Barbie Imperial
DEBBIE GARCIA – The Viva artist admitted to suffering from depression after her physical altercation with Barbie Imperial,
It was on October 28, 2022 when Debbie and Barbie figured in a physical and verbal altercation at Tipsy Pig Gastropub, Quezon City. The incident led to the filing of charges against the actress which include slight physical injury, grave oral defamation, and grave slander by deed.
In a sideline interview with PEP.ph, Debbie said that she feels better now. According to her, she has totally moved on from what happened.
She revealed that the charges she filed against Barbie were already on trial. However, she keeps mum about it because she don’t want to be accused that she’s using the incident for her own good, to become popular.
At one point, she revealed that she went through depression after the altercation. “Dumaan po talaga ako sa stage na na-depress ako. Binigyan ako ng doktor ng advice,” she said.
Debbie Garcia stated that the incident had an impact not only on her but also on her family. Her innocent nephews and nieces were even questioned about it at school.
When she got depressed, she decided not to leave their house except on work days. That’s why she’s grateful to Viva for keeping her busy in the midst of the problem. The actress said it was her first time to be involved in such an incident.
Diego Loyzaga, the ex-boyfriend of Barbie Imperial, is said to be the cause of the altercation, which Debbie denied. She insisted that she had never been in a relationship with the actor.
