Parokya ni Edgar: “The current highest bids are …”

PAROKYA NI EDGAR – The OPM band recently gave an update about the bidding for Chito Miranda’s “Bagsakan” polo and “Halina sa Parokya” puppets.

The bidding started when band vocalist Chito Miranda announced that he wants to sell the Parokya ni Edgar original memorabilia to raise funds for his bandmate who is battling pneumonia.

It was last February 16, 2023 when the band said that there were a lot of people who gave their bid offers to Chito after he posted photos of the original memorabilia that he found in the cabinet of his house in Quezon City.

At that time, the band said that the highest bid for Chito’s “Bagsakan” polo was at PHP 115,000 and the highest bid for “Halina sa Parokya” puppets Chito Matsing and Mr. Suave was at PHP 35,000.

The highest bids for the “Bagsakan” polo and “Halina sa Parokya” puppets went up to PHP 120,000 and PHP 80,000, respectively, as of 11:00 am February 16, 2023.

As of 10:00 pm February 16, 2023, the highest bid for Chito Miranda’s “Bagsakan” polo went up to PHP 125,000, while the highest bid for “Halina sa Parokya” puppets remained unchanged.

[UPDATE February 20, 2023] The band officially announced the final bids for “Bagsakan” polo and “Halina” puppets.

In a social media post last February 15, Chito shared that a school uniform with “Chito Miranda” name patch was used in the 2005 music video for the hit song “Bagsakan” alongside rapper Gloc-9 and the late Francis Magalona.

He also said that the two puppets – Mr. Suave and Chito Matsing –  were used in the cover art of “Halina Sa Parokya” album that was released last 2005.
