During Tawag ng Tanghalan Faceoff!, contender Chingkie Maylon seemed to have forgotten a few lines of Pagsamo by Arthur Nery
CHINGKIE MAYLON – The performance of the 6-time defending champion and quarterfinalist in Tawag ng Tanghalan on It’s Showtime, in which he sang Arthur Nery’s hit single, Pagsamo, elicited comments.
Arthur Nery is an R&B/soul singer who rose to fame with his hit song Pagsamo. He was discovered when he performed as the opening act for the concert of comedian Wacky Kiray in Bukidnon.
Accordingly, he shared with the comedian that he was still unsigned and looking for a label. Eventually, he signed a contract with OC Records, the recording company of Kean Cipriano, and his wife Chynna Ortaleza.
Aside from Pagsamo, Arthur Nery is also popular with his singles Binhi, Letters Never Sent, Higa, Life Puzzle, Happy w u, Take All The Love, and his collab-track with Janine Tenoso titled Pelikula.

Apparently, he appears to have forgotten a few of the lines while performing. His rendition was posted on the official Facebook page of Tawag ng Tanghalan, and it drew mixed reactions from netizens. Here are the comments of some netizens:
Most netizens defended him, claiming that it’s common for contestants in a singing competition to forget the lyrics of the song they’re performing due to nervousness and other factors. Some said that despite forgetting some of the song’s lines, he did justice to the single.
