JC DE VERA – The actor recently took to social media to announce that he and his wife are expecting their second child together.
JC and his wife Rikkah Cruz are already parents to a four-year-old daughter, Lana Athena.
On Saturday, the actor posted a video on his Instagram account where they had a gender reveal party at home.
As seen in the said video, their daughter popped the balloon and pink confetti papers showed up. In the caption of his post, the actor said that he and his wife are expecting a baby “girl”.
Supporters and friends of the couple also congratulated them in the comments section of his post – including John Prats, Angelica Panganiban, Rodjun Cruz, Jason Abalos, and Jayson Gainza.
According to a report, JC and Rikkah got married in an under-the-radar civil ceremony last 2018, months before they welcomed their first child. However, it wasn’t until March 2021 that JC shared that he’s a married man.

The actor shared that Rikkah is a former schoolmate of his and seven years his junior. When asked how he knew that Rikkah was “the one”, he shared that he passed through the eye of a needle in courting her at that time.
“Pinahirapan niya ‘ko. Dumaan ako sa butas ng karayom and hindi niya ‘ko binibigyan ng any window para pumasok ako sa buhay niya. Takot siya,” the actor said at that time.
JC and Rikkah tied the knot for a second time in a church wedding held in Tagaytay last September 2021.
