Daughter of Elvis Presley passes away at 54
LISA MARIE PRESLEY – The daughter of King of Rock and Roll Elvis Presley died at the age of 54.
Lisa passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2023 (January 13 in the Philippines) due to cardiac arrest. Earlier, she was rushed to a hospital after suffering from heart attack at her home in Calabasas, California.
Her death was confirmed via an official statement released by the family. “Priscilla and the Presley family are shocked and devastated by the tragic death of their beloved Lisa Marie. They are profoundly grateful for the support, love and prayers of everyone, and ask for privacy during this very difficult time,” the statement noted.
Many were shocked in the sudden death of Lisa Marie. She recently attended the 80th Golden Globe Awards along with her mom Priscilla Presley to witness the victory of Austin Butler, who won as Best Actor for Drama in a Motion Picture. Austin portrayed the character of Elvis Presley in the biographical film, Elvis.
Lisa Marie passed away four days after their family commemorated her father’s 88th birth anniversary on January 8, 2023. The singer-songwriter left behind her four children and mom.
Like her father Elvis Presley, Lisa Marie also had a colorful and controversial life. It was in 1994 when she got married to King of Pop Michael Jackson. However, they got separated after two years.
She also got married to Academy Award-winning actor Nicolas Cage. Their relationship lasted for 107 days. They got married in August 10, 2002 and got separated in November 25, 2002.
