Toni Gonzaga: “My greatest teacher in life now is …”
TONI GONZAGA – The actress, singer, and TV host has recently spoke about her “greatest teacher in life”.
Toni is the lead star of Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) 2022 entry “My Teacher”, which was directed by film director Paul Soriano. She failed to win the “Best Actress” award during the Gabi ng Parangal of MMFF 2022, but her film took the “gender sensitivity award”.
The actress was asked about her “greatest teacher in life” in an interview with The Philippine Star.
Toni said that her “greatest teacher in life” was Seve, her son with her husband Paul Soriano. According to her, her son introduced her to herself and she discovered the kind of mother she is because of him.
“My greatest teacher in life now is Seve,” she told The Philippine Star. “First, he reintroduced me to myself. I discovered the kind of mother I am because of him. I didn’t know I would be that kind of mother.”
The actress also said that her son changed her perspective in life.

Toni also shared that among the inspirations for “My Teacher” were the following: her son’s experiences at school and with his teacher; and a “ToniTalks” interview with a former security guard who finished college in his late 40s.
She also said that the film inspired her to go back to school.
According to a report, the actress has already scouted for possible universities or colleges. She shared that she wanted to take up law as she has been reading books lent to her by her husband’s lawyer-friend.
