This is how parents budget their money
HOW PARENTS BUDGET THEIR MONEY – A male teacher reminded his students that it is not easy for their parents to earn money.
In the video shared by RPN DYKC Cebu, the teacher explained to his students how their parents earn money so that they can support their studies.
In the illustration he gave, he said how parents maximize their budget if they only earn P500 per day and have four family members who need to eat three times a day. This means at least 12 heads are being fed daily.
He noted that if each meal costs 50 pesos and the daily budget is 600 pesos, their parents’ salary is insufficient.
The teacher pleaded with the students not to ask for more from their parents, especially if they were low-income. “Kaya naghihirap ang mga magulang niyo para madala kayo sa eskwela para magkaroon kayo ng mas maayos na trabaho at sweldo kaysa sa kanila,” he said.
He’s also hoping that they will not sulk at their parents because they simply want to budget their money. The video had millions of views on social media as of the time of posting.
