Cristy Fermin on Jake Zyrus: “Siya raw po ay minolestiya… Hinalay, sa madaling salita”
JAKE ZYRUS – The singer was allegedly molested in the US.
Initially known as Charice Pempengco, the singer rose to fame when he performed on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, The Oprah Winfrey Show and had concerts with David Foster and Andrea Bocelli. Aside from singing, he also ventured into acting after joining the cast of the TV series Glee.
In 2011, he released a single titled “Before It Explodes” which was written by Bruno Mars. In 2013, she came out as a gay woman. In 2017, he came out as a transgender male after having male chest reconstruction and beginning testosterone treatment. He adopted the name Jake Zyrus, and discontinued the use of the name “Charice Pempengco”.
It was on December 10 when he hold a concert in San Diego, California in USA. However, his latest show in the US was heavily criticized with some calling it a “flop”. Allegedly, the number of concertgoers who attended the show did not even fill half of the venue. It is said that the show did not become a hit because others preferred Charice Pempengco’s voice.
Amid discussing the recent concert of Jake Zyrus in California, Cristy Fermin, Romel Chika, and Wendell Alvarez brought up the claim of the singer that he experienced “pangmomolestiya”.
“Dami niyang isyung pinalalabas ngayon mga Ka-Chika. Siya raw po ay minolestiya… sino naman kaya ang momolestiya sa kaniya? Hinalay, sa madaling salita,” Cristy said. “Ano ba namang pasabog na ‘yan, dapat sa December 31 pa ‘yan,” Romel asked.
Wendell was wondering as to whether the person who molested the singer was a man or a woman. However, Fermin stated that it was unclear as of press time.
