Paolo Gumabao Speaks on Subpoena due to TikTok Video
PAOLO GUMABAO – The actor received a subpoena at their home due to the TikTok video that was complained by Special Action Force (SAF).
The Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) 2022 is fast-approaching. A few weeks ago, the organizers of the upcoming film festival announced the eight (8) official entries in the upcoming event. The movies will be aired beginning December 25, 2022.
One of the entries in the MMFF 2022 is Mamasapano: Now It Can be Told. One of the stars in the said film festival entry is actor Paolo Gumabao. Recently, at the media conference for the upcoming movie, he revealed that he received a subpoena at their house in connection with the taping for the film.
Based on an article on Pep, Paolo Gumabao revealed that he received a subpoena for using the Special Action Force (SAF) uniform in a TikTok video. According to him, it is a lesson learned for him and he will not do TikTok again when he is wearing an insignia.
Paolo shared that he did a TikTok video that was also done by fellow actor Joshua Garcia. According to him, the SAF got offended because he was wearing the SAF uniform in the video and he understands it. He is glad that the issue did not escalate.
Based on the article, Paolo Gumabao expressed at the mediacon that the said video initially did not hook the attention of the public but, three months ago, he received a subpoena at home amid the times when they were promoting the movie. He initially thought that it was a prank. There were four (4) of them who were summoned. Meanwhile, according to him, he did not feel nervous because he got Attorney Ferdinand Topacio at his side.
