Pensioners, Members Can Apply For Loans Online, Says GSIS

GSIS recommended its pensioners and members to apply for loans via online.

The Government Service Insurance System recommended its pensioners and members to apply for pension loans, policy loans, or consolidated loans via online.

This, as Rolando Macasaet, the president and general manager of the Government Service Insurance System, said that the online applications on its website will cover these loans: pension loan, policy loan, and consolidated loan.

Macasaet also said that he would be making an announcement with regards to the emergency loan of PHP 20,000 “at a later date”. Currently, Luzon was still under an enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) due to COVID-19 or coronavirus disease.

GSIS Pensioners and Members

In order for its pensioners and members to apply for a loan via online, they must download the application form [ONLINE LOAN APPLICATION FORMS], fill out the required information on the form, and should be e-mailed it to addresses that were assigned by the Government Service Insurance System per area.

Aside from application form, borrowers were also required to submit these requirements:

  • an electronic copy of UMID card or GSIS temporary card
  • valid identification card with picture and signature
  • photo wherein a borrower was holding his/her duly accomplished application form.
