In Case You Didn’t Know: Neil Arce was Maxene Magalona’s ex-boyfriend
NEIL ARCE and MAXENE MAGALONA – The husband of Angel Locsin and the actress were actually former lovers.
Neil Arce, the husband of Angel Locsin, made a name for himself as a poker player. He was known as “Dirty Ice Cream” in the poker scene. This might be due to their family business, the locally noted ice cream brand, Arce Dairy.
After his poker era, he ventured into producing movies. He is credited as the producer of movies; 10,000 Hours, Camp Sawi, Last Night, Sid & Aya and Miss Granny.
It was in June of 2019 when Neil proposed marriage to Angel. They were supposed to tie the knot in November 2020, but the pandemic postponed their plans. Eventually, they tied the knot via a civil wedding just last year.
On the other hand, Maxene Sofia Maria Arroyo Magalona is a Filipino actress, model, host. She is the daughter of the late Master Rapper Francis Magalona and actress Pia Arroyo-Magalona.
She started in showbiz via ABS-CBN kiddie show Ang TV followed by 5 and Up. Then in 1998, she transferred to GMA Network and starred in Munting Anghel in 2000. She rose to fame after starring as Alex Acosta in the defunct ABS-CBN series, Doble Kara.
Maxene Magalona was once married to musician Rob Mananquil. They tied the knot on January 11, 2018, at a ceremony in Boracay but last October, the actress confirmed via her Instagram posts that she and Rob decided to part ways.
Meanwhile, the daughter of Francis M. and the husband of Angel Locsin are making a buzz online about the alleged reconciliation of their romance.
Actually, Neil Arce and Maxene Magalona were ex-lovers. In an interview with PEP.ph, the latter revealed that they dated for one year and three months.
When asked at the time what’s the reason behind their breakup, she said: “This I can say for sure, there was no third party. And what happened was it wasn’t meant to be.”
