PNP on Undas 2022: “The entire Philippine National Police will go on full alert status”
UNDAS 2022 — The Philippine National Police (PNP) said that it would be on full alert in order to secure the incoming long weekend, including the observation of All Saints’ Day on November 1.
PNP chief Police General Rodolfo Azurin Jr. said at a press briefing on Monday that the police will make early mobilizations and preparations ahead of “Undas”. He added that 85% of PNP personnel will be deployed.
“The entire Philippine National Police will go on full alert status to ensure the availability of police personnel and resources for public safety and security operations for this forthcoming four-day holiday,” Azurin said.
According to a report, Police Regional Offices (PRO) and units are ordered to make their presence felt and be vigilant while serving and protecting the commuters and motorists who will head for the provinces to visit deceased loved ones.

Azurin said police will be present along public cemeteries, transport terminals, travel routes, and other places of convergence.
The Philippine National Police reminded the public to take necessary precautions when leaving their residences unattended during the long weekend and to coordinate with their barangay or neighborhood authorities for special security.
PNP Public Information Office chief Police Colonel Redrico Marananan said at a public briefing that the PNP is ready to provide security during “Undas”, adding that the police are also coordinating with local government units (LGUs) and force multipliers.
Based on a report, Maranan said the Philippine National Police has not received information on any serious security threats during the occasion so far.
