Lawyer Mike Toledo: “Sino ba naman tayo para tumanggi?”
MIKE TOLEDO — Lawyer Michael Toledo recently spoke about being offered to be the next Press Secretary.
Toledo’s name was one of those being floated to replace Atty. Trixie Cruz-Angeles, who tendered her resignation last October 4. However, Toledo didn’t confirm nor deny if he was offered the said position.
According to him, he’s open to accept the said position if it was offered to him by the Marcos administration. He also said that he’s ready to serve whether in the private or public sector.
“I’m not in a position to dwell on it. But let me just say, given the opportunity to serve, why will I say no?” Toledo said in an ambush interview. “Sino ba naman tayo para tumanggi? I will be humbled and it will be an honor and privilege to serve under the Marcos administration.“

Transportation Undersecretary Cesar Chavez disclosed earlier on Wednesday that Toledo is one of the personalities being eyed to be the next Press Secretary aside from former lawmaker Gilbert Remulla. According to Chavez, he was also informed that he’s being considered to be the next Press Secretary as well.
For his part, Toledo said that he’s not aware of any shortlist but he considered it to be an honor in itself if he’s in the shortlist.
Meanwhile, film director Paul Soriano told ABS-CBN News on Wednesday that he was considered for the said position. Soriano said that the said position “needs more qualified people” to help President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.
“I can be of better service behind the scenes working with the President‘s media and communications team,” Soriano said.
