Sharing a wedding photo on her Instagram account, Maxene spoke about her realizations on love and failed relationships. She shared that losing a loved one was “a form of trauma” that changed her forever.

According to her, she felt like it’s the end of the world when she lost her father, Francis Magalona, to cancer back in 2009.

However, she said that what she didn’t realize back then was that once she has already lost the most important person in her life, it made her strong and wise that it “becomes easier and clearer” to end relationships — both romantic and non-romantic — that are not working anymore.

The actress also shared that she’s “actually very grateful” for the failed relationships she has had in this lifetime.

According to her, she understood that she had to go through all of them so that she could determine for herself the “soul connections” that she wanted to keep and let go of the ones that didn’t match her energy.

To all the souls I’ve crossed paths with in this lifetime, I give to you my heartfelt thanks,” she wrote in the caption on her social media post. “Thank you, next!

Last week, Maxene opened up about her status in a social media post wherein she talked about her happy life as a “single and childless” woman. Her confirmation came nearly a year after the first rumors of her apparent separation from her husband Rob Mananquil, whom she tied the knot last January 2018.

Life is all about perspective. Do you see your glass half empty or half full? I see mine overflowing,” she said at that time.

Maxene Magalona and Rob Mananquil have yet to directly address speculations about their apparent separation as of this writing.
