Vincent “Chot” P. Reyes is the head coach of the TNT Tropang Giga of the Philippine Basketball Association.

He is also the head coach of the Philippine national basketball team, Gilas Pilipinas, which he led to a historic silver medal finish at the 2013 FIBA Asia Championship and the country’s first appearance in the 2014 FIBA World Cup in 36 years.

Reyes has won the PBA Coach of the Year award five times. He is the President of TV5 Network, Inc. (from October 3, 2016 to June 2, 2019, replacing Noel Lorenzana) and Media5, TV5’s sales and marketing arm.

He was previously the head of Sports5, TV5’s Sports division until 2015, and Digital5 (now D5 Studio).

Meanwhile, PBA Commissioner’s Office is set to fine Chot Reyes for his outburst following his team’s 94-92 loss to Magnolia.

At the end of the game, Reyes charged toward the officials’ table as per Commissioner Willie Marcial.

His action resulted in an automatic fine but the league had yet to finalize the exact amount as of posting.

Coaches as well as players are not permitted to approach the officials’ table.

With 4.3 seconds remaining, a frustrated Reyes confronted referees and technical officials to protest the disputed foul called on Calvin Oftana.

The game was tied at 92-all when Oftana was called for attempting to steal the ball from Magnolia’s Paul Lee while the latter was shooting. Lee hit both of his free throws.

After the team’s postgame prayer, Reyes stormed out of the Big Dome, even shouting at the hallway as he walked into the Green Gate exit.
